Fendt 00.1.77 – Instrument Cluster / Dashboard Control Panel: A036 (or A128) - Control panel, dashboard right/left, Up button pressed > 30s

The system has detected the "Up" key on the dashboard control console being continuously pressed or shorted for more than 30 seconds. As a safety and functional consequence, the system renders the button non-operable or assumes the button has been released to prevent unintended continuous input.

   Inspect the 'Up' button on the dashboard control panel for physical jamming, dirt, debris, or sticky substances.

   Press the button manually to verify if it clicks and returns freely (mechanical feedback).

   Check the wiring harness connecting the control console to the main instrument cluster for pinched wires or shorts to ground/voltage.

   Use the FENDIAS diagnostic system to monitor the live state of the dashboard switches to see if the ECU is actively receiving an 'Up' command.

   Clean the Console

   Carefully clean the area around the "Up" button using compressed air or an electronics-safe contact cleaner to dislodge any debris causing the button to stick mechanically.

   Actuate the Button

   Press and release the button several times to free up the internal spring/contact mechanism.

   Cycle Power

   Turn the tractor off, wait a few moments, and turn it back on to see if the fault code clears once the button is unstuck.

   Replace the Panel (if necessary)

   If the button is physically broken, lacks mechanical resistance, or is internally shorted on the circuit board (and cleaning does not resolve the issue), the control panel keypad must be replaced. Disconnect the tractor's battery, remove the dashboard trim panels to access the mounting screws for the A036/A128 control panel, unplug the electrical connector from the rear of the keypad, install the new control panel and reassemble the dashboard.

   Clear Codes

   Reconnect the battery and use FENDIAS or the tractor's onboard diagnostic menu to clear the inactive 00.1.77 fault code. Test the "Up" button to ensure normal operation.
