Fendt 00.1.77 – Instrument Cluster / Overall Tractor System: A037 - Control panel, dashboard left: Up button pressed > 30s.

The system has detected that the 'Up' key on the left-hand dashboard control console has been continuously depressed for more than 30 seconds. This is abnormal and typically indicates a stuck switch or an electrical short, rendering the button non-operable until resolved.

   Examine the left dashboard control panel (Component A037/A036) for dirt, sticky residue, or physical damage around the 'Up' button.

   Press and release the 'Up' button to check if it springs back freely or if it feels jammed or collapsed.

   Access the rear of the control panel and use a multimeter to test the continuity of the switch pins to determine if the switch has failed internally (shorted closed).

   Inspect the wiring harness connecting the A037 control panel to the instrument cluster for any pinched wires that could be causing a short to ground or voltage.

   Power Down

   Turn off the tractor ignition and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical spikes during component removal.

   Clean the Panel

   If the button is simply stuck due to agricultural debris or spilled liquids, use compressed air and a plastic trim tool to carefully clean around the edges of the button. Spraying a small amount of electrical contact cleaner may free a sticky switch.

   Access the Module

   If cleaning does not resolve the issue, use a trim removal tool to carefully pry away the dashboard bezel surrounding the left control panel.

   Remove the Panel

   Unscrew the retaining fasteners holding the A037 control panel in place.

   Disconnect

   Unplug the multi-pin electrical connector from the back of the unit.

   Replace

   Connect the wiring harness to the new OEM control panel and secure it into the dashboard.

   Reassemble and Test

   Reinstall the dashboard trim, reconnect the battery, and turn on the ignition. Verify that the 00.1.77 fault code has moved to an inactive state or cleared entirely, and test the 'Up' button for proper functionality.
