The signal from the foot throttle position sensor is too high, too low, or has been missing for longer than 2000 ms (2 seconds).

   Inspect the wiring harness between the B055 sensor and the ECUs (refer to Chapter 2000 Reg. B 'EDC control' circuit diagram)

   Check the connections from PIN 3 to PIN 6 on the B055 combination sensor for corrosion, damage, or loose fits

   Verify that both potentiometers inside the B055 sensor are transmitting their analogue voltage signals to the A050 and A051 ECUs when the pedal is depressed

   Remove the cover over the foot throttle

   Remove the cover over the foot throttle (secured by screws). Disconnect the single electrical connector.

   Unbolt the foot throttle pedal assembly

   Remove the 4 bolts securing the foot throttle pedal assembly to the floor and remove the unit.

   Install the new B055 foot throttle pedal assembly

   Install the new B055 foot throttle pedal assembly and secure the 4 bolts. Reconnect the electrical connector and reinstall the cover.

   Calibrate the new sensor

   Enter the tractor's terminal and perform Calibration Code "4005" (Foot throttle pedal calibration).

   Clear codes and verify

   Set the foot throttle pedal to the idle position, accept with the 'Return' key, and ensure the terminal displays "O.K." to confirm the new sensor settings are saved. Restart the tractor to verify the TMS is functional and the fault code is cleared.
