Fendt 01.1.06 – A002 - ECU, enhanced control / A050 - ECU, basic control unit: Memory allocation or parameterization error
Issue description
A software fault occurred when the system attempted to set or read parameters for the control unit, resulting in a corrupted or inaccessible memory state. The primary consequence is that the TMS (Tractor Management System) becomes non-operable.
Applies to these machines
18 machines- 309 Vario COM III

Check the cause
Verify symptoms by confirming that the TMS is disabled but the tractor can still be driven in emergency mode using the foot throttle to isolate the issue to TMS memory allocation.
Check hardware voltage to verify the ECU is receiving and outputting the correct basic signal voltage (8.0V for A002, 6.1V for A050) to rule out a complete hardware failure.
Attempt to clear the fault code via the instrument cluster by pressing the two arrow keys and the Enter key simultaneously (though diagnostic software is usually required for permanent deletion).
Repair steps
Connect diagnostic tool
Connect the AGCO 2x4 CANUSB Diagnostic Tool to the tractor's diagnostic port (connecting to the G and K bus ports).
Launch diagnostic software
Launch the Fendt FENDIAS / EOL diagnostic software (e.g., EOL version 7.76 or newer) on your service laptop.
Connect to control unit
Select 'Programming Development' and input the tractor's exact chassis number to build a connection with the A002 or A050 control unit.
Execute EOL programming
Execute the EOL programming procedure to rewrite the memory parameters. This process typically takes 15–20 minutes.
Perform hard reset
Once the software indicates that the devices have been switched into bootloader mode and programming is successful, perform a hard reset: Turn the Ignition OFF, wait at least 15 seconds, then turn the Ignition ON.
Test drive
Test drive the tractor to verify that the TMS is operational and the fault code does not return.
Repair or replace ECU
If EOL programming fails repeatedly, the ECU's internal EEPROM is physically defective. The A002/A050 module must be removed and sent to a specialist for board-level repair, or replaced entirely.
