Fendt 01.1.08 – A051 - ECU, Engine Control Unit (EDC 7): Checksum of Power Boost parameter incorrect

   Retrieve the fault code from the dashboard multiple display or via the FENDIAS diagnostic tool to verify the fault.

   Attempt to clear the fault memory to see if the checksum error was a transient glitch (on the dashboard, press keys A, B, and C or D, B, and C simultaneously depending on the display version).

   Ensure there are no accompanying CAN bus communication faults (e.g., 1.1.A1) between the A002 enhanced control module and the A051 engine control unit, which could interrupt data transfer.

   Connect diagnostic tool

   Connect the AGCO 2x4 CANUSB Diagnostic Tool and launch the FENDIAS software.

   Establish communication

   Establish communication with the A051 - Engine Control Unit (EDC 7).

   Perform EOL programming

   Perform EOL programming to flash a new, correct data record/software parameter file to the EDC 7 unit.

   Verify repair

   Cycle the ignition and verify that the fault code 01.1.08 has been cleared and that engine power is restored to 100%.

   Replace ECU

   If EOL programming fails or the ECU memory is permanently corrupted, the A051 EDC 7 control unit must be physically replaced and then programmed to match the tractor.
