01.1.31

Fendt 01.1.31 – A077 - Immobiliser ECU: B083 - Immobiliser control

Issue description

Invalid transponder data from ignition key. The B083 Immobiliser control detects that a key has been inserted, but the transponder chip inside the key is either missing, incorrect, or has not been programmed to the tractor's immobiliser system. As a result, the starting quantity of fuel is not released, and the engine cannot be started.

Applies to these machines

  • 922 Vario COM III
  • 924 Vario COM III
  • 927 Vario COM III
  • 930 Vario COM III
  • 933 Vario COM III
  • 936 Vario COM III

  • 400 Vario series (409, 410, 411, 412)
  • 700 Vario series (711, 712, 714, 716)
  • 800 Vario series (815, 817, 818)
  • 900 Vario series (916, 920, 924, 926, 930, 933, 936, 939, 942)

Check the cause

  1. Verify the operator is using the correct, original ignition key equipped with a transponder chip, rather than a standard unchipped metal cut key.

  2. Ensure there are no other transponder keys or magnetic objects on the same keychain causing signal interference with the B083 receiver ring.

  3. Check the wiring harness and CAN bus connections between the B083 Immobiliser control, the A077 Immobiliser ECU, the A051 Engine Control Unit, and the A050 Basic Control Unit.

Repair steps

  1. Use a Taught-in Key

Attempt starting the tractor with a known, previously taught-in transponder key.

  2. Teach in the Vehicle Key (EOL Programming)

If all keys are lost, a new key is purchased, or the A077 Immobiliser ECU is replaced, the keys must be programmed to the tractor.

  3. Connect diagnostic laptop

Connect a diagnostic laptop with FENDIAS / SERDIA (End of Line / EOL programming software) to the tractor's transmission bus and comfort bus.

  4. Read in ignition keys

Follow the software prompts to 'Read in ignition keys.' The Fendt immobiliser system can recognize a maximum of three keys at one time.

  5. ECU Synchronization

If the A077 Immobiliser ECU or the A051 Engine ECU was replaced, the immobiliser and the engine control unit must be synchronized to recognize each other.
