Fendt 01.1.E0 – A050 - Basic control unit ECU (EXT) / A002 - ECU (Enhanced Control): EEPROM checksum error for the hand throttle

The control unit has lost the calibration data for the hand throttle sensor (Component B035), or the data stored in the memory is corrupted. The hand throttle will stop working, and the tractor will be forced into a limited driving operation mode.

   Verify if the code is currently active. If the battery voltage recently dropped or the battery was disconnected, the ECU may have temporarily lost its memory checksums.

   Check the wiring harness and connector at the hand throttle sensor (B035) for any breaks, corrosion, or short circuits that might be causing erratic signals preventing calibration.

   Using a diagnostic tool (like FENDIAS or SERDIA), monitor the live data from the hand throttle potentiometer to ensure it sweeps smoothly without dead spots.

   Perform Calibration

   Enter the tractor's calibration menu and execute Calibration Code '4002' (Hand throttle calibration). Follow the on-screen prompts to set the minimum and maximum limits of the hand throttle rotary control.

   End-of-Line (EOL) Programming

   If the calibration fails to save or the checksum error immediately returns, the ECU requires End-of-Line (EOL) programming. You will need to connect the FENDIAS diagnostic tool and reload the data record for the tractor.

   Replace the Sensor

   If the sensor has an internal electrical fault and cannot send a plausible signal for calibration, the hand throttle potentiometer (B035) must be physically replaced, followed by running Calibration Code 4002.
