Fendt 01.1.E0 – A050 - ECU, basic control unit: EEPROM: Checksum incorrect for hand throttle

The control unit has detected corrupted, missing, or mismatched memory data regarding the hand throttle's calibration parameters. As a consequence, the hand throttle will stop working, and the tractor may enter a restricted operating mode.

   Verify the symptom: Confirm that the hand throttle is unresponsive while the foot throttle may still function.

   Check for related fault codes like 01.1.7E or 1.1.7E, which indicate a direct electrical fault or an out-of-range signal from the B035 hand throttle position sensor.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connector at the hand throttle potentiometer (Sensor B035) for damage, corrosion, or loose connections.

   Run Calibration

   Enter the tractor's diagnostic/teach-in menu and run Calibration code '4002' to recalibrate the hand throttle.

   EOL Programming

   If calibration code 4002 does not clear the fault, perform End-of-Line (EOL) programming on the A050 Basic Control Unit using dealer-level diagnostic software (such as SERDIA or FENDIAS) to reload the correct data records.

   Component Replacement

   If the B035 hand throttle sensor is physically faulty and cannot hold a calibration, replace the potentiometer and repeat the calibration process.

   ECU Repair/Replacement

   If the A050 ECU repeatedly corrupts its EEPROM checksum and EOL programming fails, the basic control unit itself has an internal memory failure and will need to be sent to an agricultural electronics specialist for EEPROM repair or replaced entirely.
