Fendt 01.1.F1 – A051 - ECU, engine control unit (EDC 7): Power reduction in EDC

Protective derate condition where the engine control unit intentionally limits engine power and torque. It is typically a secondary code triggered by a primary hardware failure or by the ECU detecting unauthorized software modifications.

   Scan for primary faults in the A051 module using a diagnostic tool (FENDIAS, SERDIA, TEXA, or Jaltest) to identify the hardware or emissions issue forcing the derate

   Check for tuning or manipulation codes (e.g., 01.1.F2 or 1d.1.23) which indicate aftermarket software modifications triggering the anti-tuning protection

   Verify CAN communication between the A050 (Basic Control Unit) and A051 (Engine ECU) to ensure no communication drops are causing the derate

   Address the Root Cause

   If caused by tuning (Codes 01.1.F2 / 1d.1.23 present): The ECU must undergo EOL programming to be flashed back to the original OEM factory software, or the aftermarket tuning file must be corrected by a specialist. If caused by a hardware fault: Diagnose and replace the faulty component dictated by the primary fault code.

   Clear Fault Memory

   Use the FENDIAS or SERDIA diagnostic software to manually delete the error codes from both the A050 and A051 control units.

   Test Drive

   Operate the tractor under load to verify that the TMS (Tractor Management System) allows full power and that the 01.1.F1 code does not return.
