Fendt 03.1.08 – A039 - MFA (Multifunction Armrest) / A100: Invalid parameters for flashing in EEPROM
Issue description
A software or memory corruption issue where the EEPROM inside the armrest control unit contains invalid data regarding its flashing (programming) parameters.
Applies to these machines
12 machines- 922 Vario COM III
- 924 Vario COM III
- 927 Vario COM III
- 930 Vario COM III
- 933 Vario COM III
- 936 Vario COM III
- Fendt 200 V/F/P Vario series
- Fendt 300 Vario (COM III)
- Fendt 400 Vario (COM III)
- Fendt 700 Vario (COM III & SCR)
- Fendt 800 Vario (COM III & SCR)
- Fendt 900 Vario (COM III & SCR)
Check the cause
Check for accompanying codes such as 03.1.01 (Faulty hardware/RAM) or 03.1.02 (Incorrect checksum). If present, the module is likely bricked.
Verify that the A039/A100 MFA is actively communicating on the tractor's CAN bus network.
Perform a hard battery reset to see if the EEPROM initialization error clears.
Repair steps
Connect diagnostic tool
Connect the FENDIAS (Fendt Diagnostic System) laptop to the tractor's diagnostic port.
Navigate to module
Navigate to the A039 (or A100) MFA module.
Perform EOL programming
Perform an EOL (End of Line) programming procedure. This will attempt to wipe and rewrite the correct operating parameters and flash data to the armrest's EEPROM.
Clear fault codes
Once the EOL programming is complete, clear the fault codes.
Test armrest functions
Cycle the tractor's ignition and test all armrest functions (joystick, PTO buttons, linkage controls).
Replace hardware
If the FENDIAS tool cannot communicate with the EEPROM, if the EOL programming fails, or if the code immediately returns after a successful flash, the internal memory chip has physically failed. The entire A039/A100 Multifunction Armrest assembly must be replaced.
