The calibration parameters for the crossgate lever (the joystick used to control hydraulic auxiliary valves) are invalid, missing, or out of range. As a safety consequence, the system defaults to predefined values, and the hydraulic valves controlled by the crossgate lever cannot be operated.

   Check the crossgate lever for physical damage, sticking, or debris preventing full travel along the X and Y axes.

   Look for related signal fault codes such as A.1.B1 (X-axis signal fault) or A.1.B2 (Y-axis signal fault), which indicate a hardware failure or wiring issue within the armrest.

   Ensure the tractor meets the preliminary conditions for calibration (e.g., hydraulic oil at operating temperature, tractor parked safely) to prevent a sub-fault F01.

   Access calibration menu

   Access the tractor's diagnostic/calibration menu via the terminal.

   Enter calibration code

   Enter Calibration Code 1001 (Calibration for crossgate lever / hydraulic auxiliary valves).

   Perform calibration

   Follow the on-screen prompts to move the crossgate lever through its full range of motion (X and Y axes) to teach the module its new parameters.

   Save calibration

   Save the calibration settings in the terminal.

   Replace hardware if calibration fails

   If the calibration fails and displays sub-codes such as F02 (Calibrated values are faulty) or F03 (A039 MFA not responding), and the wiring is intact, the crossgate lever potentiometer or the entire A039 armrest module has failed and must be replaced.
