Fendt 04.1.23 – Transmission Control System: Joystick signal "Tempomat cruise control ON" faulty

A signal fault originating from the cruise control activation button on the main drive lever/joystick. The tractor will typically allow continuation in emergency mode (auxiliary operation), but cruise control functions will be disabled.

   Check the 'Go/End' and cruise control buttons on the Vario joystick for physical damage, sticking, or collapsed membrane switches.

   Inspect the wiring harness connecting the joystick to the A036 multifunction armrest control board for pinches, breaks, or loose connector pins.

   Verify the voltage supply to the armrest console (8.5V or 12V supply fault, often tied to the A013 fuse block).

   Remove the Joystick

   Disconnect the battery, carefully open the multifunction armrest housing, and unplug the main connector for the Vario drive lever.

   Component Testing

   Test the continuity of the cruise control switch when pressed. If it fails to close the circuit or shows high resistance, the switch/membrane is defective.

   Repair vs. Replace

   If only the button is faulty, install a joystick repair kit (replacement buttons/membrane keypad). If the analog board inside the joystick is faulty, utilize specialized agricultural electronics repairers for mail-in rebuild services.

   Reinstallation

   Install the repaired joystick or replacement switch plate, reconnect the harness, and clear the fault codes via the tractor's terminal.
