Fendt 04.1.2A – Transmission Control System: B015 - Bevel pinion direction (=direction of travel) Hall sensor

Signal fault or faulty direction signal from the B015 Hall-effect sensor, which measures rotational speed and detects the direction of rotation of the transmission's bevel pinion. Loss of this signal causes the transmission to default to an emergency operating mode.

   Check the 8.5 V sensor supply at the A013 fuse block (specifically Fuse 2, Fuse 7, or Fuse 8 depending on the model)

   Inspect signal wiring and the E-box for breaks or a faulty earth (ground) connection

   Check connectors X164, X1330, or X1331 for damage or poor connection

   Check for plausibility errors, such as fault code 04.1.83, which indicates a speed mismatch between the B014 and B015 sensors

   Power Down

   Safely park the tractor, turn off the ignition, and disconnect battery power if performing electrical repairs.

   Fuse Inspection

   Locate the A013 fuse module. Inspect the 8.5V supply fuse (Fuse 2, 7, or 8 depending on the Vario model). Replace the fuse if blown and re-test.

   Harness Testing

   Locate the B015 bevel pinion sensor on the transmission housing. Disconnect the sensor harness. Using a multimeter, verify that the connector is receiving the 8.5 V supply and has a solid ground connection.

   Sensor Replacement

   If the wiring, ground, and 8.5 V supply are all intact but the fault persists, the B015 Hall sensor itself is defective. Remove the retaining hardware, extract the faulty B015 sensor from the transmission, and install the new OEM sensor.

   Clear Codes and Test

   Reconnect the harness, power on the tractor, and use the terminal or diagnostic tool to clear the stored 04.1.2A fault code. Test drive the tractor to ensure it exits emergency mode and correctly registers the direction of travel.
