Fendt 04.1.3A – Transmission Control Unit: S070 - Range/idle switch (Switch, transmission range - travel range/idling)
Issue description
This code indicates a faulty switch at the transmission neutral sleeve. Because the transmission control system cannot verify the neutral position, transmission calibration is no longer possible.
Applies to these machines

Check the cause
Inspect the S070 Switch to verify if the switch itself has failed mechanically or electrically.
Inspect the wiring harness leading to the switch, specifically checking the X1340 separation point/connector on the S070 switch for corrosion, damage, or a loose connection.
Repair steps
Locate the Switch
The S070 transmission setting/neutral switch is located on the left side of the transmission.
Access the Component
To gain proper access to the switch, you must remove the left rear wheel.
Disconnect
Unplug the X1340 electrical connector from the S070 switch.
Replace
Unthread/remove the faulty S070 switch from the transmission neutral sleeve and install the new replacement switch.
Reassemble
Reconnect the X1340 connector and reinstall the left rear wheel.
Calibrate
Clear the fault codes and perform a full transmission calibration, which will now be possible with the new switch installed.
