Fendt 04.1.44 – Transmission Control System: B010 - Engine speed Hall sensor 1

This fault code indicates a signal fault or failure of the B010 engine speed Hall sensor. The system logs this code when the sensor is faulty, the speed signal is missing/implausible, or there is a disruption in the 12V power supply to the sensor.

   Check the Power Supply (Fuses): Check the A013 fuse board (Fuse 4, Fuse 11, or Fuse 33 depending on model) for a blown fuse disrupting the 12V supply to the B010 sensor.

   Wiring and Connector Inspection: Inspect the wiring harness between the B010 sensor and the transmission control unit for broken wires, chafing, or corroded connector pins.

   Sensor Gap/Mounting: Ensure the sensor is securely mounted, as a gap that is too wide between the Hall sensor and the impulse disk/gear wheel can cause signal loss.

   Live Data Monitoring: Use the FENDIAS diagnostic tool or the tractor's onboard terminal diagnostics to monitor the live RPM output of the B010 sensor and compare it against the B011 sensor for plausibility errors.

   Preparation

   Park the tractor on a level surface, engage the hand brake, turn off the ignition, and disconnect the battery ground to prevent electrical shorts.

   Locate the Sensor

   Locate the B010 Engine Speed Hall Sensor (typically mounted on the engine block/flywheel housing reading the engine speed).

   Removal

   Disconnect the electrical wiring harness connector from the sensor. Remove the retaining bolt(s) securing the sensor and carefully pull the sensor out of its bore.

   Installation

   Clean the mounting surface to ensure the new sensor seats perfectly. Insert the new OEM Hall sensor and tighten the retaining bolt to factory specifications.

   Reconnection

   Reconnect the electrical connector and restore battery power.

   Clear Codes and Test

   Turn the ignition on and use the tractor terminal or FENDIAS to clear the 04.1.44 fault code. Start the engine and verify that the tractor exits emergency mode and that transmission load limit control operates normally.
