Fendt 04.1.65 – A050 - ECU, basic control unit: Faulty stationary function actuation, low side brake
Issue description
An electrical fault on the earth (ground) side of the circuit leading to the Y053 - Active hold function solenoid valve causes the tractor to lose its active hold/stationary function.

Check the cause
Inspect the earth (ground) side wiring from the A050 ECU to the Y053 solenoid valve for open circuits, high resistance, or shorts to ground.
Test the K051 - Relay, active hold function to ensure it switches properly and its signal line is intact.
Unplug the Y053 solenoid valve and use a multimeter to check the internal resistance of the solenoid coil to determine if the valve has an internal short or open circuit.
Repair steps
Park and secure the tractor
Safely park the tractor on level ground, turn off the ignition, and engage manual wheel chocks since the active hold function is compromised.
Locate the Y053 solenoid valve
Locate the Y053 Active hold function solenoid valve (cardan brake valve), which is typically mounted on the transmission/rear axle assembly.
Disconnect the valve connector
Disconnect the electrical connector to the Y053 solenoid valve.
Verify and repair the ground circuit
Using a multimeter, verify the integrity of the ground circuit back to the A050 ECU. Repair any damaged wiring, rubbed-through insulation, or corroded connector pins found in the harness.
Test and replace the K051 relay
Locate and test the K051 relay. Replace the relay if it fails to switch properly under load.
Replace the Y053 solenoid valve
If the wiring harness and relay are fully intact and functioning correctly, remove the retaining hardware, extract the faulty Y053 valve, and install a replacement.
Clear fault codes
Clear the fault codes using the tractor's terminal or FENDIAS diagnostic tool.
Test drive the tractor
Test drive the tractor and verify that the stationary/active hold function engages properly without throwing the 04.1.65 code.
