04.1.67

Fendt 04.1.67 – A050 - ECU, basic control unit: A050 - ECU, basic control unit; Y053 - Active hold function solenoid valve

Issue description

This fault code indicates that the self-test on the brake stationary function (also known as the active hold or active parking function) has failed. The system has detected an electrical or actuation issue with the Y053 solenoid valve circuit.

Check the cause

  1. Verify the K051 relay (active hold function relay) to ensure it is functioning correctly and is the correct part.

  2. Inspect the wiring harness between the A050 ECU and the Y053 solenoid valve, checking for faults on both the earth (ground) and positive (+) sides.

  3. Check the X1041 connector at the Y053 valve for corrosion, backed-out pins, or moisture.

  4. Test the Y053 solenoid valve itself for proper resistance and mechanical actuation.

Repair steps

  1. Power Down

Turn off the tractor ignition. Wait at least 15 seconds for the A050 basic control unit to fully release and power down before disconnecting any components.

  2. Locate the Valve

Locate the Y053 Active hold function solenoid valve. On 900 Vario models, it is located on the right side of the transmission. Accessing it may require detaching the right rear wheel and the side panel.

  3. Relay Replacement (If Applicable)

If diagnostic testing points to the K051 relay, locate the relay panel, remove the faulty relay, and install a new OEM relay.

  4. Valve Replacement

If the wiring and relay are intact but the valve has failed, disconnect the electrical connector (X1041) from the Y053 valve.

  5. Remove the Valve

Unbolt and remove the faulty Y053 solenoid valve from the transmission/cardan brake assembly.

  6. Install the New Valve

Install the replacement Y053 valve, ensuring any O-rings or seals are properly seated. Reconnect the electrical harness.

  7. Reassembly

Reinstall the side panel and the right rear wheel (if removed), torquing the wheel nuts to factory specifications.

  8. Clear and Test

Turn on the ignition, clear the stored 04.1.67 fault code using the tractor's diagnostic menu, and perform a functional test of the brake stationary/active hold function to ensure the self-test passes.

Parts you might need

(2)
  • Y053 Active hold function solenoid valve

Also referred to as solenoid valve, cardan brake 'active parking function'. Exact valve configuration depends on transmission version and rear axle type; provide chassis number to dealer.

  • K051 relay

Provide chassis number to dealer to obtain the correct relay.
