Fendt 04.1.E3 – A050 - ECU, basic control unit: Checksum error, parameter for throttle pedal mode.

Stored parameters or calibration data for the foot throttle pedal within the control unit have become corrupted or are being read incorrectly. As a safety consequence, the tractor defaults to "Emergency mode" and the Tractor Management System (TMS) is automatically switched off.

   Inspect the physical condition of the B055 Foot Throttle Sensor pedal assembly.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the B055 foot throttle sensor and the A050 ECU for breaks, corrosion, or short circuits.

   Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic tool to read the live voltage values from the B055 sensor to ensure the A050 is receiving the correct target values.

   Connect Diagnostic Tool

   Connect the Fendt FENDIAS diagnostic software to the tractor's diagnostic port.

   Perform EOL Programming

   Use FENDIAS to rewrite/re-flash the corrupted throttle pedal parameters in the A050 Basic Control Unit.

   Calibrate the Sensor

   After EOL programming, perform a calibration of the B055 foot throttle sensor through the tractor's operator terminal to ensure the ECU learns the correct idle and full-throttle voltage limits.

   Clear Fault Codes

   Delete the stored fault codes from the A050 (and A051 if applicable) using the diagnostic software.

   Test Drive

   Verify that the emergency mode is deactivated and the Tractor Management System (TMS) functions normally.

   ECU Repair/Replacement

   If the A050 ECU refuses to accept programming or has an internal hardware failure, the unit must be removed and sent to a specialized agricultural electronics repair service or replaced entirely.
