Fendt 06.1.10 – REAR PTO ENHANCED CONTROL: B020 - Sensor, rear PTO speed (stub shaft)

This code indicates a signal fault or a complete failure of the B020 Hall-effect speed sensor located on the rear PTO stub shaft. The system registers either a faulty sensor signal or a 12V supply fault. When this fault is active, the PTO will typically disengage or fail to engage normally. However, the PTO can still be engaged in emergency mode by pressing and holding the emergency PTO button/key in the cab for 5 seconds.

   Check the Power Supply (Fuses): Check fuse A013 (Fuse 13 for 300 Vario or Fuse 35 for 700/800/900 Vario) for a 12V supply fault.

   Inspect Wiring and Connectors: Check the wiring harness leading to the B020 Hall sensor on the rear PTO stub shaft for breaks, corrosion, or loose connections.

   Electrical Measurement: Measure the sensor at the component separation point (connector X169): Pin 1: Earth (Ground), Pin 2: Signal, Pin 3: +UB (12V Supply).

   Emergency Operation (If in the field)

   If the tractor is needed immediately, press and hold the emergency PTO key in the cab for 5 seconds to bypass the sensor and engage the PTO.

   Resolve Supply Issues

   If the 12V supply is missing at Pin 3, replace the blown fuse (A013 / Fuse 13 or 35) and trace the harness for any shorts to ground that may have caused the fuse to blow.

   Replace the Sensor

   If the wiring and power supply are intact but the signal (Pin 2) is faulty or missing, the B020 Hall-effect sensor has failed internally.

   Locate sensor

   Locate the B020 sensor on the rear PTO stub shaft housing.

   Disconnect harness

   Disconnect the electrical harness from the sensor.

   Remove sensor

   Unbolt and remove the faulty sensor.

   Install new sensor

   Install the new OEM speed sensor and torque to factory specifications.

   Reconnect and test

   Reconnect the harness, clear the fault codes via the terminal, and test the PTO engagement in normal mode to verify the repair.
