Fendt 06.1.1B – Main tractor control unit (E-box or Basic Control Unit): Y026 - Solenoid valve, rear PTO, stage I (Speed rate 750 / 540E) - Actuation fault.

The tractor's control system has detected an electrical or actuation error with the Y026 solenoid valve, which controls the hydraulic flow to engage the rear Power Take-Off (PTO) at the 750 (or 540E) RPM speed rate. The underlying condition is typically a burnt-out solenoid coil, damaged wiring, or a mechanically seized valve. Consequence: The rear PTO cannot be engaged.

   Check the 12V supply fuse for the PTO control (often designated as A013, fuse 13, or fuse 35 depending on the tractor model/generation).

   Inspect the wiring harness and the electrical connector at the Y026 solenoid valve for breaks, corrosion, or loose pins.

   Use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the Y026 solenoid coil to check for an open circuit (infinite resistance) or a short circuit.

   Check for mechanical binding to ensure the valve is not seized due to hydraulic fluid contamination.

   Preparation

   Park the tractor on a level surface, turn off the engine, and relieve all hydraulic pressure.

   Disconnect Power

   Disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent electrical shorts during the repair.

   Locate the Valve

   Locate the Y026 rear PTO solenoid valve on the rear hydraulic/transmission control block.

   Clean the Area

   Thoroughly clean the area around the solenoid valve to prevent dirt or debris from entering the hydraulic system.

   Removal

   Disconnect the electrical connector from the solenoid. Unbolt and carefully remove the faulty solenoid valve from the housing.

   Installation

   Lubricate the O-rings on the new solenoid valve with clean hydraulic fluid. Insert the new valve into the block and tighten it to the OEM torque specification.

   Reassembly

   Reconnect the electrical connector and reconnect the battery.

   Testing

   Start the tractor. Clear the stored 06.1.1B fault code from the terminal. Engage the rear PTO in the 750 / 540E speed setting to confirm the repair. (Note: It is also highly recommended to change the hydraulic filter if the old valve was seized due to contamination.)
