Check the cause
Physically inspect the '1000' rear PTO button on the multifunction armrest to ensure it is not stuck, jammed by debris, or mechanically broken.
Check for related CAN bus communication fault codes (such as 06.1.A1 or 06.1.B0), which indicate a wiring or CAN bus initialization failure rather than just a counter error.
Cycle power by restarting the tractor to see if the counter error clears on a fresh boot cycle.
Repair steps
Connect diagnostic tool
Connect the FENDIAS (Fendt Diagnostic System) interface to the tractor's diagnostic port.
Navigate to module
Navigate to the MFA (A039 or A100) control module.
Perform programming
Perform EOL (End-Of-Line) programming. This procedure resets the module's parameters and clears the internal counter mismatch.
Clear fault codes
Once the EOL programming is complete, clear the stored fault codes from the tractor's memory.
Test operation
Test the rear PTO 1000 RPM button to verify that the PTO speed can now be selected without triggering the code.
Replace component
If the EOL programming fails to resolve the issue, or if the button is internally shorted/damaged, replace the multifunction armrest (or the specific keypad sub-assembly).
