06.1.C1

Fendt 06.1.C1 – A050 - ECU, Basic Control Unit: Switch-on speed not reached for PTO/power lift auto mode.

Issue description

The tractor's forward speed, as measured by the B015 bevel pinion sensor, is too low (typically under 1 km/h) for the automatic PTO or power lift functions to engage. This can be caused by operator error (driving too slowly when attempting to activate the auto mode) or a failure of the B015 sensor/wiring failing to report the correct speed.

Applies to these machines

  • 922 Vario COM III
  • 924 Vario COM III
  • 927 Vario COM III
  • 930 Vario COM III
  • 933 Vario COM III
  • 936 Vario COM III
  • 300 Vario series (309, 310, 311, 312)
  • 400 Vario series (409, 410, 411, 412)
  • 700 Vario series (711, 712, 714, 716, 718, 720, 722, 724)
  • 800 Vario series (815, 817, 818, 822, 824, 826, 828)
  • 900 Vario series (916, 920, 922, 924, 927, 930, 933, 936, 939)

Check the cause

  1. Verify that the tractor is actually moving at the required speed (above 1 km/h) when attempting to use the PTO/power lift auto mode (operator error check)

  2. Use the FENDIAS diagnostic tool to monitor the live speed output from the B015 bevel pinion sensor and compare it against the B014 (collecting shaft) sensor to check for plausibility errors

  3. Check the 8.5V power supply at the sensor connector. If voltage is missing, check the corresponding A013 fuse (usually fuse 2, 7, or 8 depending on the model)

  4. Inspect the wiring harness for chafing or breaks, specifically at separation point X164

Repair steps

  1. Prepare tractor for repair

Park the tractor on a level surface, apply the handbrake, and turn the ignition OFF.

  2. Locate the B015 sensor

Locate the B015 sensor. It is mounted on the right side of the transmission housing.

  3. Access the sensor

Note for specific models (e.g., 300 Vario): Accessing the sensor may require removing the right rear wheel and taking off the protective metal side panel.

  4. Disconnect wiring

Disconnect the wiring harness at separation point X164.

  5. Remove faulty sensor

Unbolt and remove the faulty B015 bevel pinion speed sensor from the transmission housing. Be prepared for a small amount of transmission oil to weep from the port.

  6. Lubricate new sensor O-ring

Lubricate the O-ring on the new sensor with clean transmission oil (STOU 10W-40 or 15W-40).

  7. Install new sensor

Install the new sensor and tighten to the manufacturer's specified torque.

  8. Reconnect wiring

    Reconnect the X164 wiring harness.

  9. Reinstall components

Reinstall any removed panels and the rear wheel (torquing lug nuts to spec).

  10. Clear fault code and test

Turn the ignition ON, clear the stored 06.1.C1 fault code from the A050 ECU, and test drive the tractor above 1 km/h to verify the PTO/power lift auto mode engages correctly.
