06.1.E0

Fendt 06.1.E0 – A050 - ECU, basic control unit: Checksum error, parameter current control for speed selector

Issue description

Software parameter mismatch, memory corruption, or EEPROM error within the control unit regarding the current regulation settings for the PTO or transmission speed selector.

Applies to these machines

  • 922 Vario COM III
  • 924 Vario COM III
  • 927 Vario COM III
  • 930 Vario COM III
  • 933 Vario COM III
  • 936 Vario COM III
  • 200 V/F/P Vario Series (207, 208, 209, 210, 211)
  • 300 Vario Series (COM III)
  • 400 Vario Series (COM III)
  • 700 Vario Series (COM III, SCR)
  • 800 Vario Series (COM III)
  • 900 Vario Series (COM III, S4, Gen6)

Check the cause

  1. Check the multiple display for secondary fault codes related to the PTO speed selector buttons, Hall sensors (e.g., B020, B021), or CAN bus communication errors.

  2. Verify tractor operation to see if the PTO disengages, the speed selector defaults to neutral, or if the Tractor Management System (TMS) is restricted.

  3. Connect the AGCO 2x4 CANUSB diagnostic interface and launch the FENDIAS diagnostic software to read the active and stored fault memory directly from the A050 ECU.

Repair steps

  1. Connect FENDIAS

Connect the laptop with FENDIAS software to the tractor's diagnostic port.

  2. Perform EOL Programming

Use FENDIAS to re-parameterize the A050 basic control unit. This rewrites the correct current control parameters for the speed selector back into the ECU's memory.

  3. Clear Fault Memory

Once the EOL programming is complete, clear the fault memory in the A050 ECU.

  4. Cycle Power and Test

Perform a key cycle (cold start). Test the PTO and transmission speed selection functions to ensure the code does not return.

  5. ECU Replacement or Repair

If the EOL programming fails to write, or if the 06.1.E0 code returns immediately upon startup, the A050 ECU has suffered a hard internal memory/EEPROM failure. Remove the basic control unit and send it to a specialized repair center or replace it entirely.
