Fendt 07.1.04 – Enhanced Control ECU (A002): Actuation fault with component Y011 (Front PTO solenoid valve (clutch))

The system has detected an electrical or actuation failure (such as an open circuit, short circuit, or a seized valve) preventing the solenoid from properly engaging or disengaging the front Power Take-Off (PTO) clutch. As a consequence, the front PTO will not function or will disengage unexpectedly.

   Check Power Supply & Fuses: Verify the 12V supply to the PTO circuit. Depending on your specific model, check Fuse 14 or Fuse 36, as a blown fuse will cause actuation failures.

   Inspect Wiring and Connectors: Locate the Y011 solenoid valve (typically on the front PTO transmission). Check the electrical separation point/connector (designated as X322) for corrosion, moisture, or loose pins.

   Test the Solenoid Coil: Use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the Y011 solenoid coil to confirm if it is shorted or has an open circuit.

   Rule Out Cab Controls: Ensure the cab's Front PTO 'ON/OFF' button is functioning.

   Preparation

   Turn off the tractor, disconnect the battery, and ensure the hydraulic system is fully depressurized.

   Locate the Valve

   The Y011 solenoid valve is located on the front PTO transmission. On many models (like the 300 Vario), you must remove the front cover plate to access it.

   Disconnect

   Unplug the X322 electrical connector from the Y011 solenoid.

   Clean the Area

   Thoroughly clean the mounting surface around the valve to prevent dirt or debris from entering the hydraulic clutch pack.

   Remove and Replace

   Unbolt the faulty solenoid valve. Install the new valve, ensuring all O-rings and seals are properly seated.

   Reassembly

   Reconnect the X322 electrical plug, reinstall the front plate, and reconnect the battery.

   Testing

   Start the tractor and test the front PTO engagement to ensure the fault code clears and the clutch operates smoothly.
