07.1.05

Fendt 07.1.05 – Enhanced Control ECU (A002): B002 - Sensor, front PTO speed

Issue description

This fault code indicates a signal fault or failure of the front PTO Hall-effect speed sensor (B002). The underlying condition is typically a faulty sensor, a break in the signal circuit, or a 12V supply fault.

Check the cause

  1. Check the 12V power supply to the sensor by inspecting fuse A013 (may be fuse 14, 22, or 36 depending on the model).

  2. Inspect the wiring harness and separation point X151 connector between the ECU and the B002 sensor for chafing, corrosion, or loose pins.

  3. Test the sensor signal output with a multimeter: it should read 0 VDC when stationary (or up to 6.3 VDC depending on ratchet wheel position) and approximately 2.1 VDC when the front PTO is rotating.

Repair steps

  1. Locate the Sensor

The B002 sensor is located at the front of the front PTO transmission gearbox.

  2. Access the Sensor

Remove the protective cup/funnel covering the front PTO stub shaft to gain access to the sensor.

  3. Disconnect

Unplug the X151 electrical connector from the B002 sensor.

  4. Replace

Unbolt and remove the faulty Hall-effect speed sensor. Install the new sensor and tighten it to the manufacturer's specified torque.

  5. Reassemble

Reconnect the X151 connector and reinstall the protective cup/funnel.

  6. Clear and Test

Clear the fault codes from the Enhanced Control ECU. Test the front PTO to ensure it engages normally without needing the 5-second emergency override.
