Check the cause
Inspect the Auto Front PTO button on the armrest for physical damage, sticky residue, or debris. Ensure the button returns freely and is not mechanically jammed.
Use a multimeter to check the switch's continuity when actuated. Verify that the signal changes state cleanly without excessive resistance.
Inspect the internal wiring harness and connectors between the button and the main circuit board inside the A039 armrest for chafing, pinched wires, or loose pins.
Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic tool to monitor the live state of the Auto Front PTO button in the A039 module. If the tool shows the button as constantly "pressed" or "unrecognized" despite physical actuation, the switch or the internal MFA board is faulty.
Repair steps
Disconnect Power
Turn off the ignition and disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent short circuits while working on the armrest electronics.
Disassemble the Armrest
Carefully remove the retaining screws and the top cover of the A039 multifunction armrest to access the internal switch panels.
Isolate the Switch
Locate the Auto Front PTO button assembly. Disconnect its specific wiring connector from the MFA's internal board.
Remove the Faulty Button
Unclip or unscrew the faulty switch from the armrest bezel.
Install the Replacement
Seat the new switch into the panel and reconnect the wiring harness.
Reassembly
Carefully reassemble the multifunction armrest housing, ensuring no wires are pinched in the casing.
Clear Codes and Test
Reconnect the battery, turn on the ignition, and use the FENDIAS diagnostic tool to clear the 07.1.09 fault code. Test the Auto Front PTO function to confirm the repair.
