Check the cause
Check the 12V power supply to the PTO circuit, specifically A013, fuse 36, as a blown fuse will cause a signal fault.
Inspect connector X151 (the direct separation point for the B002 sensor) to ensure pins are clean, free of corrosion, and securely seated.
Test wiring for continuity or shorts between connector X151 and the ECU using the PTOs circuit diagram.
Inspect the tone wheel (ratchet wheel) inside the housing for excessive metallic debris that could disrupt the magnetic Hall-effect signal.
Repair steps
Park and secure tractor
Safely park the tractor, turn off the ignition, and engage the parking brake.
Remove protective guard
Locate the front PTO assembly. Remove the protective funnel/guard from the front PTO to gain access.
Locate sensor
Locate the B002 sensor, which is mounted directly at the front of the front PTO transmission housing.
Disconnect harness
Disconnect the electrical harness at separation point X151.
Remove sensor
Unthread and remove the faulty B002 speed sensor from the housing.
Install new sensor
Thread in the new sensor. Ensure proper air gap spacing is maintained relative to the tone wheel so the magnetic sensor can read accurately.
Reconnect harness
Reconnect the X151 electrical connector.
Reinstall guard
Reinstall the front PTO protective funnel.
Test operation
Turn on the tractor and test the front PTO to ensure the RPM speed displays correctly on the dash/terminal and the fault code clears.
