07.1.41

Fendt 07.1.41 – A039 / A036 (FRONT PTO ENHANCED CONTROL): Front PTO 'ON' Button Plausibility Error

Issue description

The system has detected that the Front PTO 'ON' button has been pressed (or the electrical signal has remained active) for more than 30 seconds, rendering the Front PTO inoperable. This typically points to a physically jammed button, debris, or an electrical short.

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the Front PTO 'ON' button on the multifunction armrest (MFA) or side control console for dirt, sticky residue, or physical damage that might be holding the button down.

  2. Check the wiring harness and connectors between the Front PTO button and the A039 (MFA) or A036 module for a short circuit.

  3. Use the FENDIAS diagnostic software or a 160-pin adapter box to monitor the live state of the A039/A036 inputs to verify if the system is receiving a continuous 'closed' signal from the switch without physical actuation.

Repair steps

  1. Clean the Switch

If the button is physically sticking, carefully clean the edges of the button and the surrounding membrane/bezel to remove any debris.

  2. Replace the Component

If the button is internally shorted or permanently damaged: If the tractor features a standalone Front PTO switch, remove the faulty switch from the console, disconnect the wiring harness, and install a new switch. If the button is integrated into the A039 Multifunction Armrest or a sealed membrane keypad, the respective keypad module or armrest assembly may need to be replaced.

  3. Clear Codes

Once the repair is made, use the tractor's onboard diagnostic menu or FENDIAS to clear the stored 07.1.41 fault code.

  4. Functional Test

Start the tractor and test the Front PTO engagement to ensure the button operates normally and the code does not return.

  • Multifunction Armrest (MFA) / Membrane Keypad

If the switch is integrated into the A039 armrest, the specific keypad or armrest module must be ordered based on the tractor's exact trim level and chassis number.
