Fendt 07.1.E2 – A050 - ECU, basic control unit: Error in checksum PW rise of front PTO
Issue description
The control unit has detected a checksum error in the stored parameters for the pulse width (PW) rise (the engagement curve/modulation) of the front Power Take-Off (PTO). When this fault is active, the system cannot rely on the stored engagement curve and will default to using standard, unoptimized default values for the front PTO.
Applies to these machines

- 924 Vario COM III
- 927 Vario COM III
- 930 Vario COM III
- 933 Vario COM III

Check the cause
Verify front PTO operation and check for harsher or uncalibrated clutch engagement
Check for related A050 checksum errors (such as 07.1.E1, 07.1.E3, or 07.1.E4) which indicate broader memory corruption
Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic system to read specific corrupted parameters and verify communication with the A050 module
Repair steps
Connect FENDIAS
Hook up the Fendt diagnostic laptop (FENDIAS) to the tractor's diagnostic port.
Perform EOL Programming
Re-flash or reprogram the A050 Basic Control Unit to rewrite the correct parameters and checksums for the front PTO.
Clear Codes
Once the EOL programming is complete, clear the stored fault codes from the tractor's memory.
Test Operation
Engage the front PTO to ensure the modulation is smooth and the fault code does not return.
ECU Replacement/Repair
If the EOL programming fails to resolve the checksum error, or if the ECU refuses to accept the programming, the A050 ECU has suffered an internal EEPROM/memory failure. Remove the unit and send it to a specialized agricultural electronics repair service or replace it entirely.
