Fendt 08.1.11 – Rear EPC (Electronic Power Control) module: Y021 - Rear power lift, 'raise' function

The solenoid valve responsible for the 'raise' function of the rear power lift is faulty. The system detects a fault in the signal line to the valve, a short circuit to earth, a short circuit to battery voltage (UB), or a break in the wiring. Consequence: The electrohydraulic lifting gear control is locked/barred, and no raising of the rear hitch is possible.

   Inspect the signal line to the Y021 valve for breaks, chafing, or corrosion

   Test the wiring harness for a short circuit to ground (earth) or a short circuit to the battery voltage (UB)

   Check if the solenoid valve is mechanically seized or incorrectly wired

   Verify that the E-box (Electronic box) itself is not faulty, as an E-box fault can mimic a solenoid valve failure

   Isolate the Circuit

   Disconnect battery power before servicing the electrohydraulic valves.

   Access the Rear EPC Valve Block

   Locate the rear power lift control valve block (typically a Bosch Rexroth EHR unit) at the rear of the tractor.

   Replace the Solenoid

   If the wiring tests good, remove the faulty Y021 'raise' solenoid valve from the hydraulic block and install the replacement.

   Clear Fault Codes

   After repair, the fault code must be cleared from the tractor's memory. On some Vario models, this is done by calling up the fault code on the multiple display and pressing buttons (A), (B), and (C) (both arrow keys) simultaneously to delete codes from the A007 Instrument panel. (Note: ECU codes may require FENDIAS diagnostic software to clear completely).
