Check the cause
Move the Quick Lift switch fully through its range of motion to clear potential debris or sticking contacts
Cycle the ignition OFF and ON to attempt a system reset and clear the locked state
Consult the 'Electrohydraulic lifting gear control' circuit diagram and inspect the wiring harness and connector leading to the S072 switch on the console for corrosion, loose pins, or broken wires
Repair steps
Attempt Reset
Perform the switch movement and ignition cycle reset mentioned in the diagnostic steps.
Access the Switch
If the code remains active, power down the tractor and disassemble the necessary console trim to access the S072 Quick lift switch.
Electrical Testing
Disconnect the switch and use a multimeter to test for continuity across its positions.
Replace Component
If the switch is internally faulty (open circuit or shorted), remove the defective switch from the console and install the replacement part.
Clear Codes
Reassemble the console, turn the ignition on, and navigate to the tractor's terminal to confirm, call up, and delete the fault code.
Functional Test
Test the rear power lift to ensure the EHR system responds correctly and the control lock has been lifted.
