08.1.24

Fendt 08.1.24 – EPC B: A024, A035 - Limit position potentiometer, rear power lift

Issue description

Fault code 08.1.24 indicates a corrupt or missing signal from the upper limit position potentiometer (A035) for the rear power lift. The system detects this signal fault and locks the rear power lift control, preventing in-cab operation and restricting control to the external buttons only.

Applies to these machines

  • 309 Vario COM III
  • 310 Vario COM III
  • 311 Vario COM III
  • 312 Vario COM III
  • Fendt 300 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 400 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 700 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 800 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 900 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 700-900 SCR series

Check the cause

  1. Check the sensor supply voltage (typically 8.5V or 9.5V) from the A024 ECU to the A035 potentiometer.

  2. Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the A035 control panel/potentiometer and the A024 ECU for open circuits, short circuits, or corrosion.

  3. Use the FENDIAS service diagnostics program or the tractor's Varioterminal to read live sensor values and confirm if the signal is entirely missing or erratic.

Repair steps

  1. Access the component

Locate the A035 limit position potentiometer, which is part of the EPC B control panel/sensor assembly for the rear power lift.

  2. Replace potentiometer

If the wiring is intact but the signal remains faulty, the A035 potentiometer has failed and must be replaced.

  3. Calibrate sensor

Run the calibration procedure to equalize mechanical and electrical tolerances. Use calibration codes 8001 (setpoint setting) and 8002 (position sensor). This is required if either the A035 potentiometer or A024 ECU is replaced.
