08.1.33

Fendt 08.1.33 – Rear EPC (Electrohydraulic Power Lift Control): Sensor, right draught sensing pin overloaded

Issue description

Warning, draught sensing pin, right overloaded. This code indicates that the right draft sensing pin is experiencing an excessive mechanical load. This overload is typically the result of the lift twisting in the upper range (90–100% lift height) due to the lift settings being adjusted too tightly.

Applies to these machines

  • 922 Vario COM III
  • 924 Vario COM III
  • 927 Vario COM III
  • 930 Vario COM III
  • 933 Vario COM III
  • 936 Vario COM III
  • Fendt 300 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 400 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 700 Vario (COM III, SCR)
  • Fendt 800 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 900 Vario (COM III, SCR, S4 - e.g., 916, 920, 922, 924, 926, 927, 930, 933, 936, 939)

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the rear power lift mechanism for mechanical binding or twisting when the lift reaches its upper range (90–100% lift height)

  2. Test the power supply to the B031 sensor (should be 8.5 VDC from PCB A013 fuse 14, or 9.5 VDC / 10.0 VDC from ECU A014 depending on generation)

  3. Inspect the signal line and separation point connector X179 for faults, short circuits to ground or power, corrosion, or backed-out pins

  4. Test the sensor signal range (should read between 2.07 VDC for max tractive effort and 6.40 VDC for max pressure force; above 6.40 VDC or 0 VDC indicates a short or failed sensor)

Repair steps

  1. Relieve the Load

Immediately relieve the load on the right draft sensing pin by lowering the rear power lift.

  2. Adjust Lift Settings

If the fault was caused by mechanical twisting, adjust the upper lift height limit settings in the tractor's terminal so the lift does not bind or twist in the 90–100% range.

  3. Test Operation

Cycle the rear power lift. If the warning message clears and position control operates normally, the issue was purely mechanical/calibration-based.

  4. Repair Wiring

If the voltage supply is missing or the signal line is interrupted, repair the wiring harness between the B031 sensor (Connector X179) and the Rear EPC module.

  5. Replace Sensor

If the mechanical settings are correct, the wiring is intact, and the sensor still outputs an out-of-range signal (or fails to read changes in draft load), the B031 sensor has failed internally and must be replaced.

  6. Clear Codes

Clear the stored 08.1.33 fault code via the FENDIAS diagnostic system or the tractor's onboard terminal and perform a final functional test of the draft control.
