Fendt 08.1.B0 – Rear EPC (Electrohydraulic Power Control): B030 - Position sensor, rear power lift not calibrated

The B030 position sensor is not calibrated. Because the system does not know the physical limits of the lift arms, position setting is no longer possible. The automatic functions are disabled, and the rear power lift can only be operated manually via the external buttons.

   Verify that the rear power lift still operates using the external fender buttons to confirm basic functionality.

   Inspect the B030 rotary position sensor and its mechanical linkage on the rear rockshaft for physical damage, looseness, or debris.

   Verify the supply voltage to the sensor (typically an 8.5V or 10.0V reference voltage from the ECU) to rule out a wiring harness or signal line fault.

   Attempt Calibration First

   Since the code specifically indicates a lack of calibration, you must first try to recalibrate the existing sensor.

   Access diagnostics

   Access the tractor's Vario terminal diagnostics menu or connect the FENDIAS diagnostic tool.

   Run Calibration Code

   Enter and run Calibration Code "8002" (Rear EPC position sensor calibration).

   Cycle lift arms

   Follow the on-screen prompts to cycle the lift arms and save the upper and lower limits.

   Replace if Defective

   If the calibration fails, or if the sensor has an internal short/open circuit, the B030 sensor must be replaced.

   Post-Repair Calibration

   After installing a new position sensor, you must run Calibration Code 8002 again so the Rear EPC module can learn the new sensor's parameters.
