Fendt 08.1.B2 – A039 - MFA (Multifunction Armrest): A039 - MFA, multifunction armrest Setpoint value potentiometer, rear power lift

The setpoint value potentiometer (rotary switch) for the rear power lift (Rear EPC / Electrohydraulic lifting gear control) is not calibrated. Because the potentiometer is uncalibrated, setpoint values can no longer be set, and the system defaults to allowing only position control.

   Verify the terminal display is requesting calibration code '8001' for the rear power lift setpoint value potentiometer

   Check for underlying bus communication faults (e.g., 00.0.03 or 00.0.04) that would prevent successful calibration

   Physically inspect the rotary switch/potentiometer on the A039 multifunction armrest for mechanical damage, sticking, or liquid intrusion

   Consult the 'Electrohydraulic lifting gear control' circuit diagram to test signal integrity and wiring between the MFA and the basic control unit

   Prepare the Tractor

   Ensure the tractor is stationary, the engine is running (or ignition is ON as specified by the terminal prompt), and the rear power lift area is clear of bystanders.

   Access Calibration Menu

   Navigate to the tractor's terminal/dashboard calibration menu.

   Run Calibration Code 8001

   Enter and execute calibration code '8001' (Rear EPC calibration).

   Follow Terminal Prompts

   Move the setpoint value potentiometer through its full range of motion as instructed by the terminal to teach the module its minimum and maximum values.

   Save and Clear

   Once calibration is successful, save the values. Use the FENDIAS diagnostic software or the tractor's terminal to clear the 08.1.B2 fault code from the memory.

   Hardware Replacement (If Calibration Fails)

   If the potentiometer cannot be calibrated (e.g., due to an internal short or open circuit), the faulty potentiometer or the entire A039 Multifunction Armrest assembly must be replaced, followed by a repeat of the 8001 calibration.
