09.1.41

Fendt 09.1.41 – Basic Control Unit (EXT) or Multifunction Armrest (MFA): S022 - Switch (external), lower front power lift

Issue description

Signal fault originating from the external pushbutton used to lower the front linkage. The system detects that the button is faulty, experiencing a signal line error, or suffering from 'double actuation' (physically stuck). The button is disabled until the next trouble-free cold start, and the associated hydraulic valve is forced into a neutral position.

Applies to these machines

  • 922 Vario COM III
  • 924 Vario COM III
  • 927 Vario COM III
  • 930 Vario COM III
  • 933 Vario COM III
  • 936 Vario COM III

  • 400 Vario series
  • 500 Vario series
  • 700 Vario series
  • 800 Vario series
  • 900 Vario series

Check the cause

  1. Visually inspect the S022 external switch at the front of the tractor for physical damage, heavy dirt/mud ingress, or a jammed button mechanism.

  2. Perform a cold start reset by turning the tractor off completely to see if the fault clears or immediately returns.

  3. Disconnect the switch and inspect the wiring harness and connector for corrosion, moisture, or broken wires, and verify the 8.5V supply voltage.

  4. Test the switch with a multimeter for continuity to confirm if it is internally shorted (stuck closed) or failing to close the circuit when pressed.

Repair steps

  1. Turn off the tractor ignition and remove the key to de-energize the control circuits.

  2. Access the external front power lift switch panel at the front of the tractor.

  3. Disconnect the electrical harness connector from the S022 'Lower' switch.

  4. Clean the harness connector thoroughly.

Apply a small amount of dielectric grease to the pins to prevent future moisture corrosion.

  5. If the switch failed the continuity test or is physically stuck, unclip or unscrew the faulty S022 switch from the mounting housing.

  6. Install the new OEM replacement switch and securely reconnect the wiring harness.

  7. Turn the ignition key on and perform a cold start to reset the system lockout.

  8. Access the tractor's Varioterminal.

Navigate to the fault code menu to confirm, call up, and delete the stored 09.1.41 fault code.

  9. Test the external lower front power lift button to ensure the linkage lowers smoothly and the code does not return.
