Fendt 09.1.47 – A039 - MFA (Multifunction Armrest): A039 - MFA, multifunction armrest: Quick entry button, SAH front power lift (Forced lowering button, quick lift) - Faulty button, signal fault.
Issue description
The system has detected an electrical signal fault or a physical malfunction (such as a stuck or shorted switch) specifically on the quick entry/forced lowering button for the front power lift. As a safety consequence, the system renders this button inoperable until the next trouble-free cold start.

Check the cause
Inspect the quick entry/forced lowering button on the multifunction armrest for physical damage, sticking, or debris lodged around the switch housing.
Perform a cold start reset by turning the tractor off completely to see if a temporarily stuck button clears the fault state.
Test the A039 multifunction armrest using the official Fendt 160-pin adapter box to verify if the signal fault is originating from the button itself or the armrest's internal circuit board.
Check the internal wiring harness and connectors inside the A039 armrest for chafing or loose connections.
Repair steps
Power Down
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts or CAN bus spikes.
Disassemble the Armrest
Carefully remove the outer casing of the A039 multifunction armrest to access the internal switch panels and circuit boards.
Isolate the Switch
Locate the specific switch module for the SAH front power lift quick entry button.
Replace the Component
Depending on the exact armrest revision, replace the faulty button mechanism. If the button is integrated directly into the MFA's printed circuit board (PCB) and cannot be serviced individually, the specific switch module or the armrest control board must be replaced.
Reassemble
Reconnect all internal harnesses and reassemble the armrest casing.
Clear Faults
Reconnect the battery and perform a cold start. The fault code should clear automatically if a trouble-free signal is detected. (Note: Stored codes can be manually deleted from the terminal by simultaneously pressing keys D, B, and C, depending on the display version).
