Fendt 09.1.4A – Hydraulics / Enhanced Control ECU: Y022 - Field pressure control solenoid valve (front)
Issue description
A faulty pressure-limiting valve causes the valve to automatically move to neutral and lock, preventing the front power lift from lowering.

Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness at separation point X333 (Y022 solenoid valve connector) for a short circuit to earth, a short circuit to battery voltage (UB), or a break in the wiring.
Perform a voltage test at the Y022 connector (Earth pin 22) with the ignition ON, engine running, EPC unlocked, and field pressure set to 3 bar in double-acting (DA) mode. The voltage should read approximately 5.8 VDC.
Command the front power lift to lower and verify that the voltage drops to 0 VDC. If voltages are correct but the valve remains locked in neutral, the solenoid valve is mechanically faulty.
Repair steps
Locate the Valve
The Y022 solenoid valve is located on the right side of the tractor, mounted on the central valve block for the enhanced control hydraulics.
Access the Valve Block
Depending on the specific Vario model, you may need to remove the right rear wheel and detach the metal guard/panel to gain full access to the central valve block.
Relieve Pressure
Ensure the tractor is turned off and relieve all hydraulic pressure in the system before servicing the valve block.
Disconnect Electricals
Unplug the electrical connector at separation point X333 from the Y022 solenoid valve.
Replace the Valve
Unbolt and remove the faulty Y022 pressure-limiting valve. Install the new genuine Fendt solenoid valve.
Reassembly
Reconnect the X333 electrical connector, reinstall the metal guard, and remount the right rear wheel (if removed).
Calibration/Testing
Start the tractor, unlock the EPC, and test the front power lift via the Vario terminal to ensure the field pressure regulates correctly and the fault code is cleared.
