Fendt 09.1.A1 – A050 basic control unit: Y070 - EHR cut-off valve, front: EEP-ROM error when reading
Issue description
EEP-ROM error when reading for the Y070 front EHR cut-off valve. As a safety consequence, the valve automatically moves to neutral and locks, and the pilot pressure is turned OFF.

Check the cause
Attempt to clear the fault codes from the tractor's memory to determine if it was a transient voltage or software glitch
Check the wiring harness and connectors between the A050 basic control unit and the Y070 front EHR cut-off valve for corrosion, loose pins, or damage
Ensure the control unit and the valve are receiving the correct operating voltage, as undervoltage or overvoltage conditions can trigger related valve faults
Repair steps
Inspect the Harness
Physically trace the wiring from the Y070 front EHR cut-off valve back to the A050 basic control unit. Repair any broken wires or clean corroded connector pins.
Software/Programming
If the wiring is intact but the ROM reading error persists, the A050 basic control unit may require EOL (End of Line) reprogramming by a dealer to resolve the EEPROM fault.
Component Replacement
If reprogramming fails or the valve's internal electronics are permanently damaged, replace the Y070 EHR cut-off valve. If the fault is isolated to the module's memory, the A050 basic control unit itself will need to be replaced.
