09.1.A2

Fendt 09.1.A2 – A050 basic control unit (ECU): Y070 [FKH] - Cut-off valve, front power lift enhanced control

Issue description

EEPROM error (valve). The non-volatile memory (EEPROM) associated with the front power lift cut-off valve has failed or become corrupted. As a safety measure, the system forces the valve to move to neutral and lock, and pilot pressure is turned OFF. The front power lift will not operate normally.

Check the cause

  1. Check for related codes 09.1.A0 or 09.1.A1, which indicate the A050 ECU is failing to read or save to the valve.

  2. Verify voltage at the Y070 valve connector using a multimeter (should be 12-14 VDC when active, 0 VDC when inactive).

  3. Inspect the wiring harness between the A050 basic control unit and the Y070 valve for chafing, corrosion, or poor pin fitment.

  4. Connect the FENDIAS diagnostic tool and attempt an EOL (End of Line) programming/calibration to see if the EEPROM can be successfully rewritten.

Repair steps

  1. Preparation

Park the tractor on a level surface, lower any front implements to the ground to relieve mechanical tension, and turn off the engine.

  2. Relieve Pressure

Relieve all hydraulic pressure from the front power lift (FKH) circuit.

  3. Locate the Valve

Locate the Y070 cut-off valve. Depending on the specific model, it is typically located on the central valve block on the right side of the tractor or integrated into the front panel hydraulic block.

  4. Removal

Disconnect the electrical harness connector from the Y070 valve. Unbolt the retaining screws/fittings and carefully extract the valve from the manifold.

  5. Installation

Lubricate the O-rings on the new Y070 valve with clean hydraulic oil. Insert the valve into the block and torque the retaining bolts to OEM specifications.

  6. Reconnection

Reconnect the electrical harness to the new valve.

  7. EOL Programming

A newly installed Y070 valve must undergo EOL (End of Line) programming using the FENDIAS diagnostic tool so the A050 ECU can recognize the new valve's EEPROM and calibrate the setpoints.

  8. Testing

Clear the fault codes and test the front power lift for proper raise, lower, and load-relief functions.
