Fendt 09.1.E2 – A050 Basic Control Unit (ECU): Y070 EHR cut-off valve, front - Undervoltage
Issue description
Undervoltage (where U < 8V) at the Y070 EHR cut-off valve, front. As a safety measure, the valve automatically moves to neutral and locks, which will disable the front power lift enhanced control functions.
Applies to these machines

- Fendt 900 Vario (COM III, SCR / Tier 4)
Check the cause
Voltage Test: Measure the voltage at the Y070 valve connector while the system is active. Normal operating voltage should be system voltage (approx. 12-14 VDC).
Wiring & Connector Inspection: Trace the wiring harness from the Y070 valve back to the A050 Basic Control Unit. Look for chafed wires, pinched lines, or severe corrosion in the connectors.
Solenoid Resistance Check: Measure the internal resistance of the Y070 valve solenoid to check for an internal short that can pull the circuit voltage down.
Fuse & Supply Check: Verify the power supply and fuses feeding the A050 ECU and the hydraulic valve circuits.
Repair steps
Relieve Pressure
Safely park the tractor, turn off the engine, and manually relieve all hydraulic pressure from the front power lift and central control block circuits.
Locate the Valve
Locate the Y070 EHR cut-off valve on the front power lift hydraulic block.
Disconnect
Unplug the electrical connector from the Y070 valve.
Clean the Area
Thoroughly clean the hydraulic block around the valve to ensure no dirt or debris enters the hydraulic system during removal.
Remove the Valve
Unscrew and remove the faulty Y070 solenoid/valve assembly from the block.
Install the New Part
Lubricate the O-rings on the new valve with clean hydraulic oil. Install the new valve and torque it to the manufacturer's specifications.
Reconnect
Plug the electrical harness back into the valve, ensuring the connector clicks securely into place.
Clear Codes
Turn on the tractor and use the Varioterminal or FENDIAS diagnostic software to clear the stored 09.1.E2 fault code from the A050 ECU memory.
Test
Run the tractor and operate the front power lift through its full range of motion to confirm the undervoltage fault does not return and the lift operates smoothly.
Parts you might need
(1)Y070 EHR cut-off valve, front (Comfort front power lift control valve)
Always use genuine Fendt/AGCO replacement hydraulic valves, as aftermarket solenoids may have different resistance values that can trigger ECU fault codes. Reference the Fendt Epsilon parts catalog using your exact chassis number to obtain the correct valve iteration.
