09.1.E6

Fendt 09.1.E6 – EHR (Electronic Hitch Relief / Electronic Hydraulic Control) module: Y070 - EHR cut-off valve, front

Issue description

Final stage error (pilot control solenoid valve). This indicates an electrical or electronic failure in the final output stage controlling the pilot solenoid for the front hitch/power lift. As a safety measure, the system forces the valve to move to neutral and locks it, disabling the front power lift functions.

Applies to these machines

Check the cause

  1. Retrieve and verify codes via the tractor's terminal to confirm if 09.1.E6 is active or stored, and look for related codes like 09.1.E7 or 09.1.E8.

  2. Inspect the wiring harness connecting the EHR control unit to the Y070 front cut-off solenoid valve for shorts to ground, shorts to power, or open circuits.

  3. Test the pilot control solenoid valve's electrical resistance to ensure the coil is not burnt out or shorted.

  4. Check if the valve spool is mechanically jammed, which can cause electrical overload on the final stage.

Repair steps

  1. Power Down

Turn off the tractor and relieve all hydraulic pressure from the front power lift system.

  2. Locate the Valve

Locate the front EHR control valve block (Y070) at the front of the tractor.

  3. Disconnect Electricals

Carefully disconnect the wiring harness from the pilot control solenoid valve.

  4. Remove the Solenoid/Valve

Depending on the exact valve block configuration, remove the retaining bolts for the pilot control solenoid or the entire EHR cut-off valve section.

  5. Clean and Inspect

Clean the mating surfaces. Ensure no debris enters the hydraulic system, as contamination can cause immediate failure of the new valve.

  6. Install New Component

Install the replacement solenoid or valve assembly. Torque bolts to OEM specifications.

  7. Reconnect and Test

Reconnect the wiring harness. Start the tractor, clear the fault codes via the terminal, and test the front power lift through its full range of motion to ensure the valve no longer locks in neutral.
