09.1.EB

Fendt 09.1.EB – A050 basic control unit: Y070 - EHR cut-off valve, front: Floating position is not reached

Issue description

The floating position is not reached, causing the valve to move to neutral and lock.

Check the cause

  1. Set initial testing conditions: engine at idle (800 rpm), valves and EPC locked, no steering input, and hydraulic oil temperature between 40-50°C

  2. Check Fuse 13 (locations X1470 / X1471) which supplies power to the Y070 front power lift cut-off valve

  3. Test the voltage supply to the Y070 valve using a multimeter (should read 12-14 VDC when active/unlocked, and 0 VDC when inactive)

  4. Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the A050 basic control unit and the Y070 valve for corrosion, damage, or poor pin connections

  5. Verify if the pilot pressure is OFF or if the valve spool is mechanically stuck, preventing it from reaching the floating position

Repair steps

  1. Relieve hydraulic pressure

Ensure the tractor is turned off, the engine is stopped, and all hydraulic pressure in the system is fully relieved.

  2. Locate valve

Locate the Y070 EHR cut-off valve on the front power lift hydraulic block.

  3. Inspect electrical harness

Disconnect the electrical harness from the valve and inspect the pins.

  4. Replace fuse or diagnose valve

If the fuse (Fuse 13) is blown, replace it and retest. If the wiring and A050 ECU output are intact but the valve still fails to reach the floating position and locks in neutral, the Y070 cut-off valve is internally defective.

  5. Replace valve

Remove the defective Y070 EHR cut-off valve and install a genuine Fendt replacement part.

  6. Reconnect harness

    Reconnect the electrical harness.

  7. Clear fault code

Clear the 09.1.EB fault code from the A050 basic control unit using the FENDIAS diagnostic terminal.

  8. Perform functional test

Perform a functional test of the front power lift to ensure the floating position can now be reached and the valve no longer locks in neutral.
