09.1.EC

Fendt 09.1.EC – A050 - ECU, basic control unit: Y070 - EHR cut-off valve, front (Front power lift enhanced control / EPC cut-off valve)

Issue description

Manual actuation fault triggered when the front EHR cut-off valve is physically deflected from its neutral position, causing the system to lock the valve and turn the pilot pressure OFF.

Applies to these machines

  • 922 Vario COM III
  • 924 Vario COM III
  • 927 Vario COM III
  • 930 Vario COM III
  • 933 Vario COM III
  • 936 Vario COM III
  • Fendt 900 Vario (COM III / S4 / Gen6)
  • Fendt 700 Vario (COM III / SCR)
  • Fendt 800 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 400 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 300 Vario (COM III)

Check the cause

  1. Check the Y070 front cut-off valve for physical jamming, debris, or signs of manual deflection.

  2. Check the hydraulic oil condition and temperature, as viscous oil at low temperatures can cause the actuator to fall short.

  3. Verify the voltage at the Y070 valve (the system locks if voltage is < 8V or > 18V/45V).

  4. Check for accompanying A050 basic control unit errors (such as 09.1.A1, 09.1.A2, or 09.1.A3) which indicate EEPROM or RAM failures.

Repair steps

  1. Cold Start Reset

Clear the fault codes via the tractor's terminal and perform a trouble-free cold start. If the valve was temporarily deflected, a reboot may reset the pilot pressure.

  2. Free the Actuator

If the valve is mechanically jammed, carefully inspect the valve spool and actuator. Clean the valve block area to ensure no external debris is forcing the manual actuation.

  3. Warm Up Hydraulics

If operating in extreme cold, utilize the tractor's hydraulic oil preheating function to bring the fluid up to operating temperature, ensuring the valve actuator does not fall short due to viscosity.

  4. Replace the Valve

If the Y070 valve is internally damaged, permanently jammed, or suffering from a failed internal potentiometer/PWM sensor, the valve must be replaced.

  5. System Calibration

After replacing the valve, perform EOL programming via the A050 basic control unit to ensure the new valve's configuration messages and setpoints are recognized by the CAN bus.
