Fendt 0A.1.CF – Auxiliary Control Units: Auxiliary control units - Floating position is not reached.

The affected hydraulic valve moves to the neutral position and locks out. When the operator commands the hydraulic remote to enter the "float" position, the electronic spool valve actuator fails to reach or detect that position.

   Use a diagnostic tool (like FENDIAS or TEXA) to pinpoint which specific valve is throwing the code and check for related sub-codes indicating a failing position pickup sensor.

   Check for mechanical binding by disconnecting the hydraulic hoses and testing if the valve can reach the float position without a load.

   Inspect the wiring harness and connector at the affected valve actuator for corrosion or damage.

   Note if the valve only sticks when the hydraulic oil is cold, as cold, thick oil can cause sluggish spool movement leading to a timeout error.

   Clean the Area

   Thoroughly clean the central control block (ZSB) at the rear of the tractor to prevent dirt from entering the hydraulic system.

   Remove the Actuator/Spool

   Disconnect the electrical connector from the faulty valve's actuator head.

   Disassemble the Valve Rear

   Unscrew the large hex nut/pipe at the rear of the valve body. Carefully remove the detent plug, spring, and detent balls (a small magnet is highly recommended so you don't lose the balls).

   Inspect the Spool

   Slide the spool out of the valve body. Inspect the spool and the bore for scoring, metal shavings, or damaged O-rings that could cause the valve to jam before reaching the float detent.

   Replace or Repair

   If the spool is mechanically sound but the electronic actuator/sensor has failed, the actuator head must be replaced or rebuilt.

   Reassembly

   Lubricate the spool with clean hydraulic oil, reinsert it into the valve body, and reassemble the detent mechanism and actuator head.

   Calibration

   After replacing or repairing the valve actuator, you must perform an EOL (End of Line) programming/calibration using a diagnostic tool to allow the A050 Basic Control Unit to learn the new travel limits and position sensor voltages for the float position.
