Fendt 0A.1.D9 – Overall System/Tractor (A007 - Instrument Panel): B084 - Sensor, hydraulic oil level: Hydraulic oil tank empty.

When this fault is triggered, the tractor's safety systems intervene to prevent catastrophic damage to the hydraulic pump: the hydraulic valves are immediately locked, and the pilot control is switched off.

   Manually check the physical hydraulic oil level in the tank to verify if it is genuinely empty or low.

   Inspect the X214 connector at the B084 sensor for corrosion, moisture, or backed-out pins.

   Test wiring continuity from the X214 connector back to the A007 Instrument Panel at the X101 'Yellow' connector (Pins 5 and 20 for earth, Pin 22 for signal).

   Test the B084 sensor's resistance/voltage output with a multimeter to ensure it matches the actual fluid level (e.g., 3 bars/36L = 1.35 VDC/140 ohms; 7 bars/74L = 2.80 VDC/300 ohms).

   Prepare tractor for service

   Park the tractor on level ground, lower all hydraulic implements, and turn off the engine.

   Verify and fill hydraulic oil

   Verify the physical hydraulic oil level. If it is low, fill the hydraulic oil tank with the approved fluid (e.g., Fendt Extra Trans 10W-40 or STOU oil). Clear the code and re-test.

   Locate the B084 sensor

   If the tank is full but the code persists, locate the B084 sensor. It is generally located on the left side of the tractor, on top of the clutch housing, just below the cab.

   Disconnect sensor connector

   Disconnect the X214 connector at the sensor.

   Test sensor resistance

   Using a multimeter, test the resistance across the sensor pins. If the reading does not match the actual fluid level (or shows an open circuit), the sensor is internally faulty.

   Remove faulty sensor

   Unscrew and remove the faulty B084 sensor from the hydraulic tank/housing.

   Install new sensor

   Install the new OEM sensor and tighten to factory specifications.

   Reconnect wiring harness

   Reconnect the X214 wiring harness.

   Verify repair

   Turn on the ignition. The instrument panel should now register the correct hydraulic oil level, the 0A.1.D9 fault code will move to an inactive state (or can be cleared), and the hydraulic valves/pilot controls will unlock.
