Fendt 0A.1.DB – Instrument Panel / Central Vehicle ECU: B013 - Sensor, hydraulic oil temperature too high

The system has detected that the hydraulic fluid has exceeded safe operating temperatures and the fault is stored in the system.

   Check transmission and hydraulic oil level and quality to ensure it meets specifications (e.g., Fendt Extra Trans 10W-40 or STOU oil)

   Verify the hydraulic oil filter is not clogged, which can restrict flow and cause overheating

   Inspect hydraulic control valves to ensure none are stuck in 'Neutral' under load

   Check that 3-point implement lateral stabilizers are not set too narrowly, which can cause the hydraulics to deadhead and overheat

   Locate separation point X162 and inspect the wiring harness for chafing, corrosion, or breaks between the B013 sensor and the ECU

   Measure the B013 sensor's resistance to determine if it is shorted or out of specification

   Relieve all hydraulic system pressure and switch off the engine.

   Safety First: Ensure the machine is off and pressure is relieved before beginning work.

   Locate the B013 sensor on the right side of the engine.

   Depending on the specific Vario model, it is threaded into the steering pump or on the suction line to the auxiliary pump (between the engine and transmission).

   Remove the right-side bonnet/metal cover panel to gain access to the pump area.

   This will provide clear access to the sensor.

   Unplug the 2-pin electrical connector at separation point X162.

   Disconnect the wiring from the sensor.

   Unthread the old B013 temperature sensor.

   Have the new sensor ready to thread in quickly to minimize fluid loss.

   Reconnect the X162 plug, reinstall the right-side panels, and top off the hydraulic/transmission fluid.

   This replaces any oil lost during the swap.

   Turn on the machine and clear the stored 0A.1.DB fault code from the instrument panel.

   Verify the fault does not return.
