Fendt 0A.1.DC – Instrument Panel / Multi-Function Armrest (MFA) / Varioterminal ECU: Warning, hydraulic oil temperature not plausible

The B013 hydraulic oil temperature sensor is sending a signal to the control unit that does not make logical sense given the tractor's current operating conditions (e.g., reading extremely hot immediately upon a cold start, or fluctuating erratically).

   Verify Actual Temperature: Use an infrared thermometer on the hydraulic oil tank or lines to check the actual temperature of the hydraulic oil. Compare this to the value displayed on the Varioterminal to confirm if the sensor is lying.

   Inspect Wiring and Connector (X162): The B013 sensor connects to the main harness at separation point X162. Inspect this connector for corrosion, moisture, or backed-out pins.

   Check for Harness Damage: Trace the wiring from X162 back to the ECU to ensure there are no chafed wires causing a short to ground or an open circuit, which would result in an implausible reading.

   Park the tractor on a level surface, turn off the engine, remove the key, and allow the machine to cool down.

   Locate the B013 hydraulic oil temperature sensor.

   It is typically located on the right side of the engine, on the suction line to the auxiliary/steering pump.

   Remove the right-side engine bonnet/cover panel to gain access to the steering pump area.

   Disconnect the electrical connector at separation point X162.

   Place a catch pan underneath the sensor area to catch any hydraulic oil that may leak.

   Unscrew the faulty B013 sensor from the hydraulic line/port.

   Install the new sensor and tighten it to the manufacturer's specified torque.

   Reconnect the X162 electrical connector.

   Check the hydraulic oil level and top up with Fendt Extra Trans (or approved STOU oil) if any fluid was lost during the swap.

    Reinstall the right-side cover panel.

    Start the tractor, allow the hydraulic system to warm up, and verify that the 0A.1.DC fault code has cleared from the terminal.
