0A.1.F3

Fendt 0A.1.F3 – A050 - Basic Control Unit (ECU): Y032 Control pressure solenoid valve - Break in wiring

Issue description

The system detects an open circuit in the electrical actuation system for the Y032 valve. As a result, no valve actuation is possible, and the hydraulic spool valves default to the neutral position.

Check the cause

  1. Visually inspect the wiring harness leading to the Y032 control pressure solenoid valve (located on the final plate of the hydraulic valve block) for severed wires, severe chafing, or a disconnected plug.

  2. Perform a continuity test using a multimeter on the wiring between the A050 ECU and the Y032 solenoid connector to confirm if there is a physical break in the harness.

  3. Measure the resistance across the pins of the Y032 solenoid coil. An infinite resistance (OL) reading indicates the internal coil has failed open.

  4. Turn the ignition ON and verify if the correct reference voltage is reaching the connector.

Repair steps

  1. Preparation

Park the tractor on a level surface, apply the handbrake, lower all hydraulic implements, and turn the ignition OFF. Relieve any residual hydraulic pressure.

  2. Locate the Valve

Locate the Y032 Control pressure solenoid valve on the hydraulic block assembly.

  3. Harness Repair

If the diagnostic checks revealed a broken wire, splice and repair the wiring harness using weather-sealed connectors, or replace the damaged pigtail connector.

  4. Solenoid Replacement

If the solenoid coil is internally broken: Disconnect the electrical connector from the Y032 valve. Unbolt/unscrew the faulty Y032 solenoid valve from the final plate. Install the new OEM solenoid valve, ensuring any O-rings or seals are properly seated and lubricated with clean hydraulic fluid. Torque to the manufacturer's specification and reconnect the electrical plug.

  5. Clear Codes

Turn the ignition ON. Access the tractor's terminal/multiple display. Call up the fault code and press the confirm/delete buttons (usually a combination of the confirm button and arrow keys, depending on the specific Vario terminal generation) to clear the fault memory.

  6. Test

Start the tractor and test the hydraulic spool valves to ensure normal actuation is restored and the code does not return.
