0A.1.F5

Fendt 0A.1.F5 – Basic Control Unit (ECU A050) / Central Hydraulic Control Module: Y022 - Lower solenoid valve, (front power lift)

Issue description

The system has detected an electrical fault: a short circuit to earth, a short circuit to +UB (battery voltage), or a break in the wiring. As a result, the front power lift will be locked out, and no lowering will be possible.

Applies to these machines

  • 922 Vario COM III
  • 924 Vario COM III
  • 927 Vario COM III
  • 930 Vario COM III
  • 933 Vario COM III
  • 936 Vario COM III
  • Fendt Farmer 400
  • Fendt Favorit 700 / 900
  • Fendt 300 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 400 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 700 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 800 Vario (COM III)
  • Fendt 900 Vario (COM III and S4 generations)

Check the cause

  1. Locate the Y022 Lower solenoid valve on the front hydraulic block.

  2. Inspect connector X333 (the separation point for the Y022 valve) for corrosion, pushed-out pins, or moisture ingress.

  3. Test the wiring harness between connector X333 and the ECU using a multimeter. Check for continuity, shorts to ground (Earth pin 22), or shorts to battery voltage (+UB).

  4. Measure the internal resistance of the Y022 solenoid coil to check for an open circuit or dead short.

Repair steps

  1. Turn off the ignition and disconnect the tractor's battery to prevent electrical spikes.

  2. Disconnect connector X333 from the Y022 solenoid valve.

  3. If the diagnostic checks revealed damaged wiring, repair the harness break or replace the damaged connector pigtail.

  4. If the wiring is intact but the solenoid failed the resistance test, remove the retaining nut/fastener securing the Y022 solenoid coil to the hydraulic valve cartridge.

  5. Slide the old solenoid coil off the valve stem.

Note: If the mechanical valve spool is seized, you may need to replace the entire cartridge valve rather than just the electrical coil.

  6. Install the new solenoid valve/coil and secure the retaining nut.

  7. Reconnect connector X333.

  8. Reconnect the battery, turn on the ignition, and clear the fault codes via the Vario terminal.

  9. Test the front power lift to confirm the lowering function has been restored.
